About Michael Vargha Esq
Michael Vargha graduated from Vestal High School and was accepted to Binghamton University where he attained both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s Degree in History. He obtained a Juris Doctorate from Buffalo University and was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1994. Upon admittance to the Bar, Mike accepted a job with the Broome County Public Defender’s Office where he achieved the position of Senior Assistant Public Defender before leaving to open his private practice.
During his 30 years as an attorney, Mike has represented thousands of clients using his no-nonsense approach to the Law. He continues to fight for young people, parents and grandparents, both in Family Court and Criminal Court where he has gained the reputation as an aggressive defender of his clients.
Mike represents individuals in: Divorce, Custody Hearings, Visitation, Support, Paternity, Abuse and Neglect accusations, and young people accused of Theft, DWI, Drug Possession, Property Damage, Assaults and Sex Crime accusations. He also represents students during University Educational Disciplinary Proceedings.
Mike is tireless in his pursuit of justice and enjoys sharing his legal knowledge with young people. He taught Mock Trial at Union-Endicott High School for 15 years where his team was highly successful in competition.
Mike still lives in Vestal with his wife and is the proud step-father of three young adults. He is the author of “When Smart Kids Do Dumb Things”, “The Only Divorce Book You’ll Ever Need” and “Your Guide To Family Court”
